Mission Statement We
believe in listening to our clients. No two situations are alike,
so we work with each client to find the best possible solution.
Our clients will not feel like they are just another face in the
crowd. We will listen to their fears associated with bankruptcy
and we will strive to help put each client back in control of
their lives.
The staff at the Law Offices of Stuart B. Handelman
consists of knowledgeable and friendly people who can get the
job done. While bankruptcy is never a pleasant experience, we
aim to make this process as stress free as possible.

Stuart
B. Handelman
Stuart attended Northern Illinois University where he majored
in political science. He received a Bachelors of Arts in
1984 and went on to obtain his Law degree from John Marshall
University and was subsequently accepted into the Illinois
Bar Association in 1987. Stuart worked for the State of
Illinois, Department of Children and Family Services for
a little over one year before joining the private sector.
Stuart had practiced in family law for a short period of
time before being hired by the Law Offices of Peter Frances
Geraci where he concentrated in bankruptcy. He worked for
Mr. Geraci as a staff attorney for three years prior to
establishing his own firm. The Law Offices of Stuart B.
Handelman was founded in 1992. Stuart is a member of the
Chicago Bar Association, Will County Bar Association and

Jean
M. Huang
Jean graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with honors
in government, from Skidmore College located in Saratoga
Springs, New York. Jean went on to attend Loyola University
Chicago School of Law where she graduated with her Law Degree
in 1998. Upon graduating, Jean worked for a bankruptcy law
firm in Chicago for one year before joining the Law Offices
of Stuart B. Handelman as a Staff Attorney. Additionally,
Jean is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and
the Chicago Bar Association.

Christine
A. Watt
Christine attended Marquette University majoring in criminology
and law studies. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor
of Arts degree. Christine went on to attend Chicago Kent
College of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate. She
was admitted to the Illinois Bar Association in 1999. Ms.
Watt was hired on as a Staff Attorney for a Chicago based
law firm where she concentrated in bankruptcy for one year
before joining the Law Offices of Stuart B. Handelman as
a Staff Attorney. |

Alice
M. Hernandez
Alice has been with the Law Offices of Stuart B. Handelman
since 1997. Alice is the office manager and has a great
aptitude for running a harmonious work environment. Alice's
responsibilities include overseeing the administrative staff
and are heavily involved in communicating with the client
base at the direction of the attorneys. |
